Data Management Committee

The Data Management Committee oversees the development and implementation of the Centre’s data management plan and technologies for management, protection and integrity of Centre data to enable the Centre to achieve impact across its activities.

Professor Simon Smith

Message from the Data Management Committee Chair

“In 2021, our focus was to develop an Integrated Centre Data Management Plan to outline what research data will be created in the Centre, and a Data Governance Framework that outlines data access and licensing under the ARC Foundation Agreement (for example, standard procedures and guidelines to support the ongoing implementation of the plan). Our investigations into a data platform will continue into 2022 and is imperative to ensure our data is secure, and also accessible to the required stakeholders. In 2022, the Committee will seek expert advice to provide perspective on data management understanding, capacity building and how best to engage the Data Management Specialist role.” – Professor Simon Smith
