This event is part of the Digital Child’s 2022 Children’s Week celebrations.

Please note that this event is being held in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

Visit the Children’s Technology Centre for our Fun with Friends ‘Stay and Play’ afternoon tea to celebrate Children’s Week. Children up to 8 years of age are welcome to attend and bring a friend (or your favourite cuddly toy). We will be co-creating a digital book on the importance of friendship.

Please note: This is a research project (piloting a makerspace for the Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child – QUT Ethics Approval Number 4289) and we will be using recording equipment such as cameras and microphones during the session. Further information about the research project and consent forms are available via the Eventbrite link.

The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child acknowledges the First Australian owners of the lands on where we gather and pay our respects to the Elders, lores, customs and creation spirits of this country.

The Centre recognises that the examples we set in diversity and inclusion will support young children to respect and celebrate differences in all people. We embed diversity, inclusivity and equality into all aspects of the Centre’s activities and welcome all people regardless of race, ethnicity, social background, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation and national origin.
