Profile

Dr Ruth Wallace

Dr Ruth Wallace is a lecturer in the School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University and an expert in nutrition and early years education. As an Associate Investigator, Ruth hopes to that her work in the Centre will help embed important health literacy messages (i.e personal hygiene, healthy eating) at an early age that will extend into adulthood whilst also influencing the wider community.

Ruth leads the Supporting Nutrition for Australian Childcare (SNAC) project, which involved the development of an online nutrition intervention for early years educators to support healthy eating for children. In 2021, Ruth published Little Aussie Bugs, a series of books developed for early years educators to promote health literacy messages among young children.

Earliest digital memory
My earliest ‘digital’ memory would be playing ‘pac man’ or something similar.
