Emily Westwood

Emily Westwood’s PhD examines the significance of light in childhood health and behaviour. In 2021, Emily was awarded a prestigious Fullbright Future Postgraduate Scholarship to work with research leaders in sleep and development at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Emily hopes her work with the Centre will help children benefit from the learning and social opportunities of digital technology with positive and healthy experiences.

Earliest digital memory
I was 9 years old and given my cousin’s hand-me-down computer. I immediately found the recycling bin and read her diary. I’m always mindful of where I put my private information.
