Melissa De la Cruz

For this PhD project, I’ll be investigating EdTech’s Digital Supply Chain by peeling back its layers of production, the various relationships between companies here in Melbourne and outsourced agencies abroad. How are the demands for educational material being met by outsourcing work and tasks to creative professionals in emerging economies like the Philippines? And how does this impact the local economy and creative industry?

First digital memory

My cousins and I managing our two-hour playtime limit by ‘rotating’ between Claw on the PC, Super Mario on the SEGA, and Harvest Moon on the Game Boy. Surely attribute this as a foundation of my time management skills but also a testament to the creativity and cunning of 5 yr olds everywhere.
