Senior Professor Sue Bennett is an internationally recognised expert, teacher and innovator in technology in education and society. Sue’s research work is known to challenge assumptions made about the impact and influence of digital technology on children and young people, made unique by her use of psychological and sociological theories and innovative methodologies.

As Deputy Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child, Sue develops and leads the Centre’s strategic grants program and co-leads the Connected Child strand of projects. Her vision is to drive research outcomes that will allow us to respond quickly and effectively in a world where technology is increasingly shaping young children’s lives.

Sue is extensively published, with more than 150 journal articles, conference papers and book chapters. In addition to the Centre, she has received more than $2.5 million in competitive research grant funding; and citations in a broad range of key international journals in education, psychology and sociology.
